whether can one lap top support two OS? window vista and window XP professional?

i heard many ppl saying ...currently, vista has very little programs that able to support it...

then ?

which mean i cannot install my visual studio 2005 and 2003?

and my data base server 2000?

then second thing.....issit to choose something cheap and service center friendly but bulky (very heavy) or something that is light ,more space but less ram and service center unfriendly????
